To demonstrate the power and simplicity of E-Playbook we have 'broken down' the process of building a play into 10 steps:
|
Step 1 - Start by selecting from the example offensive formations and defensive fronts.
| |
13 example offensive formations, each with the offense at the top or at the bottom |
|
12 example fronts, each with the defense at the top or at the bottom |

You can use the fronts and formations 'as is', or you can change them (then save them) to match your teams terminology and alignments.
Step 2- You can modify and then save the formations and/or fronts using the E-Playbook Formation Builder and Front Builder Tools. You can move players, change players names (to match your terminology), or create a mirror image (left to right, right to left) of a formation / front.
Step 3 - Add your Blocking Scheme using the Blocking Controls Buttons. You can use one of the 20 'pre-drawn' blocking techniques or select one of the 7 'user adjustable' blocks (Trap, Pull, Funnel, Arc, etc...). Just select a blocking technique button, and then select the blocker button - the block will then appear on the field..

Step 4 - With the Pass Route Tool you can quickly draw many of the standard pass routes (Slant, Curl, In, Out, Post, Corner, Chair) with the click of a button. You can select from three different line widths (thin, medium, or thick), with/without an arrowhead, and there are 4 color options (black, blue, red, or yellow).
Step 5 - The Ball Carrier Tool will allow you to select primary (black background) and secondary (grey background) Ball Carriers or Pass Receivers.
Step 6 - For defensive plays you can turn on the Automatic Shade Display (to indicate the alignment of the Defensive Players) and / or use the Man Coverage tool to draw figure '8's..

Step 7 - With the Drawing Tools you can add the remaining details of your play: Lines, Arcs, & Shapes.
Step 8 - Select the "Save / Open Play Diagram" button to save your new play. The upper window in the "Save or Load a Play Tool" allows you to select from multiple folders. The lower window lists all of the plays in the selected folder.
Step 9 - E-Playbook supports six different Playbook Page formats and provides a 'Windows Wizard' that will walk you through the steps for configuring your playbook pages.
Step 10 - Time ...... the one thing that all football coaches never have enough of. At Football Technologies we understand this, and we have included a comprehensive users' manual with step by step 'cook book' descriptions and pictures so that you waste as little time as possible puttin
