Introduction to E-Playbook |
| |
E-Playbook is a 'windows' computer program that is used to help football coaches draw football plays (X's & O's) and to print playbook pages. It was created by a high school football coach to save you time, help you draw better football plays, print your football playbook pages faster, and save you money! |
| |
E-Playbook was designed with four very specific goals in mind:
#1 - To be 'coach friendly' - E-Playbook avoids the 'typical' Windows 'black magic' tricks. While it is a very powerful tool, it was specifically designed for all football coaches - even coaches whose technology comfort zone is limited to a typewriter and/or a pencil & cocktail napkin.
#2 - Save you time - we have combined the power of present day computers with 'football smart' software to automate & simplify the steps required to draw your football plays and print Scout Cards and Playbook Pages'. E-Playbook saves you time by doing most of the work for you!
#3 - The freedom of unlimited installations - we currently offer two unique 'license options' for E-Playbook:
|
| . |
| |
| |
Maximum Users |
Installs per User |
| E-Playbook Standard |
25 |
Unlimited (home, work, laptop, etc...) |
| E-Playbook Single User |
1 |
Unlimited (home, work, laptop, etc...) |
|
|
| . |
With either 'license option' the original purchaser is entitled to unlimited installations (and free updates). For coaches on a limited budget we sugest E-Playbook Single User - you get unlimited installations and program updates on your computers (home, work, laptop, etc...). For teams and that want to involve multiple coaches in the development of their playbook we suggest E-Playbook Standard which is licensed to both the original purchaser and his team / school / orgainzation. As many as 25 coaches can install and use E-Playbook Standard on an unlimited number of computers (home, work, laptop, etc...). |
#4 - Support Youth Football - We understand the difficulties and limitations of youth football; you get less time with your kids, you get less scouting / preparation time, and you have less money to work with. Use E-Playbook to share plays and playbooks within your youth association. You can also set up a 'playbook library' so that new coaching staffs can 'hit the ground running' without having to worry about the X's and O's

| |
|
|
|
| |
 |

|
2) Select the blocking technique (Base, Down, Gap, Trap, etc...) |

3) Select the blocker |

Drawing Tools: all that you need to add the details of a play (player path/footwork, pass routes, reads/keys, etc...) is included in the E-Playbook Drawing Tool. From the Drawing Tool you can add; Lines (with/without arrows), Arc's (with/without arrows), and Shapes (circles, squares/rectangles).
Pass Routes: the Pass Route Tool will let you draw many of the standard pass routes (Slant, Curl, In, Out, Post, Corner, Chair) with the click of a button. You can select from three different line widths (thin, medium, or thick) and you can also add an arrowhead to the end of the route.
|
Plays: after creating your play (formation, front, blocking, lines, arcs, etc...) use the Play Tool to save / load plays. The upper window of the tools allow you to select the 'folder' where your plays are located. The lower window list all of the plays in the selected folder.
|
Printing: For printing your plays and playbook pages E-Playbook provides you with both variety and simplicity. For your playbook pages there are 6 different page formats available, two of which include a 1/2 page 'Note Space' for detaling all play instructions:
To make it easier to create your playbook pages we provide you with an easy to use 'Wizard' that walks you through selecting a page format, picking the plays to be printed, and selecting the printing options (LOS, field numbers, hash marks, page title, etc...).
