Anti-Spyware:
The internet has become flooded with 'low life loosers' whose only goal in life appears to be to trash your computer. Without knowing it, as you 'surf the net' your computer is under constant attack from a host of 'little nasties' that are generically called Spyware. The link below will take you to the web site of a company named Lavasoft and they offer an excellent Anti-Spyware program called Ad-Aware. It will clean your computer of Spyware - AND THEY OFFER IT FOR FREE. At Football Technologies we Ad-Aware religiously once a week and our computers 'are as clean as a whistle'. Please note that they offer a whole host of different programs, the free one is called Ad-Aware SE.

Anti-Virus:
While these days it has become much more likely that your computer will get trashed by Spyware than Viruses - it is still very important that your computer be protected. For most users the safest thing is to install and periodically run (once every 1 - 2 weeks) one of the available anti-virus programs from companies like Symantec or McAfee. If you are a little 'strapped for cash' AVG Anti-Virus is a good anti-virus program offered for free!

Registry Cleaners:
Over the years you may notice that your computer 'slows' down, or that it begins to exhibit 'strange' behavior when trying to use certain programs. In most cases this problem is located in the Windows Registry. While it is not recommended that typical user's attempt to manually repair the Registry, there are a number of low cost 'tools' available that will do a good job of fixing the registry. Below you will find a listing of a few of the more highly recommended Registry Cleaners.

Notes:
1) Generally it is recommended that you allow the Registry Cleaner to backup you registry before it fixes any problems that it finds
2) CCleaner is both a System & Registry cleaner - it does a really good job of cleaning your system (cookies, 'temp' files), but it may delete things that you want to keep. If you only want to clean your registry then select the Registry button (and not the Cleaner button)
